Crazy John Deere people.
I don't ever want to hear any of you crying again about how cub parts are to expensive.

That's the same seller as the $1701.01 NOS patio hood.
|
Oh my word, as if the hood wasn't enough! Is this the same seller!? Good for him if it is
Edit you beat me Jeff |
So what exactly is a perfectly restored Patio Deere going for? These prices are plain stupid.
|
Betcha the seat will get it's first crack with the first crack on it. It's gotta be dried out.

That is pretty insane! Like others have said... what does a perfectly restored patio tractor go for!!??:bigthink:
|
Jay there's a guy at the flywheelers that has at least 5 I think, 100 percent restored, in various colors. I honestly had no idea of the value of them wow. If I remember right there is even a pink or very light red one? I will check next week.

I've seen that collection at the Flywheelers show but never have really looked at them... I bet complete tractors aren't worth near what individual parts would total.. We won't make the January show.... but hope to make the one in late Feb! Hope to see you there!:beerchug: |
What is nucking futs about the seat is thats not this guys asking price. Its a bid, and its not close to over. AND they are all different bidders. Wow
|
Watch the winning bidder get it delivered damaged, or it be a regular JD yellow seat. :ExtremeFunny:

edit - I just checked and the guy that won the hood hasn't bid on the seat yet. |
And here I was throwing a fit about a 350 dollar muffler for the cub :/
|
Such a deal, only $2451 and still going. :biggrin2:
|
Nice to see someone appreciate the finer things in life. :biggrin2:
2000.00 seat or a 2000.00 piece of Coprolite They will pay as long it is insured. |
I have seen the rarer patios red/blue, for sale in the 5 digits. I am not really a JD guy, but it seams to me I was at a show where a guy had one sitting there for 12 or 13 thousand... This was a few years ago, probably 10-12, so I don't know if they would have went up or down from that price today.
Oddly enough that show is when I learned what a patio was. Why is the old JD painted red and white and why is it 12 grand?!?!? |

Just like muscle cars, the incentive is there to make and sell fakes.

The seat sold for $2,550.

patio tractors
I'm not a John Deere guy but a friend has a Patio 140. The Patio series ran from 1969 thru 1971 and included models 110, 112, 120, and 140. Many of them got repainted because people wanted a GREEN tractor, not something else. The best way to find one is look under the frame (rear end) to check for WHITE paint.
And it's also possible to buy one for under $500.00. My friends was missing the correct seat and I found him an orange one. It needs to be re-upholstered, but hey for $25.00 bucks how could he go wrong ! LOL:beerchug: C&O2-10-4 |
The 140 is a nice tractor, I wouldn't mind having one.

I guess the seat is the most important piece. The texture is special and has not been copied. So an original seat is especially rare because tractors and tin can be repainted, seats wear out!
