Spring tillage and planting

Last week before we got all this rain I worked my 3 1/2 acres field with my cubs and implements and was able to get my first planting of 8 rows of sweetcorn in and planted my soybeans. Thought I'd share some videos of field cultivating, disking with crumbler and planting with my planter all with my cubs. Thanks

Looks Fun!! That is a massive garden! looks like you are putting your sweet corn on 15" rows?? Nice looking little planter. What are you running for population?

Thank you, it's very fun and I enjoy it. My sweetcorn is planted on 25" rows and I planted the soybeans at 140,000 for population. I could put the sweetcorn a little closer but I like to be able to cultivate it. :beerchug:

Haha, yeah that's my JD 71 flex planter. I replaced every wear part on that unit this past winter and my buddy painted it for me while it was completely tore apart in pieces. It works great and I'm a die hard IH guy lol. That planter is the only JD thing I own if that's any consultation lol.:beerchug:

I'm jealous of all that rock free dirt! I don't think you could break anything in that field if you TRIED! Your equipment looks nice and is working well.

Thank you for those awesome videos!

What you are doing is what I envision doing some day, after I can retire.

Great equipment, great times!

I hope it all produces well for you.

Jerry, your tractors just look awesome. I hope someday that I can make some of mine look as nice, and work as well.

You never got back to us on whether your buddy would make grills to sell. Any updates on that??

Yes he builds the grilles to order for anyone that wants one. I don't know if I'm allowed to put his phone number on here as it's ok with him??

Thank you, yes it's very nice not to have to mess with fence rows lol. The deer still get a little corn but it's not a lot, I seem to get more squirrel traffic than anything lol. :beerchug:
