The tunnel cover decal on my 108 is starting to have some of the chrome come off the decal, I put these decals on 3yrs ago. I contacted Maple Hunter and they are sending me a new one at no charge with free shipping. Not only are the decals a great value but they back it up if there's an issue.

Wow, that is incredible in this day and age.
Maple Hunter Texas or Indiana?

J-Mech 07-03-2017 06:04 PM

Good to hear Tim. :beerchug:

Question though... I thought the original decal had a clear laminate over it. Does the replacement not have that?

I dont believe so.

My last 2 decal were from MH. The 126 from a year ago and my recently completed 104 this past spring.

On both dash decals, after lining up the holes for the ammeter and steering column, the slot for the throttle lever had not enough material on the 126, left the original turtle and rabbit sticking out from under the decal w/the decal rabbit and turtle showing above as well as 1/4' of the dash tin showing on the sides.

On the 104, too much mat'l on the left side where the excess draped down into the slot, and not enough on the right side leaving about 5/16" of the dash tin showing.

There is no way their decal was tested for fit on an actual dash tin.

I got their set for my 100
I messed up the headlight sticker.
I called to purchase another one and they wouldn't let me buy it, they sent free

Unless they own every model of Cub they wouldn't be able to test fit, i'm sure most of their decals are made from pics and measurements given to them.

That and, a dash tin is stamped. I'd be willing to bet they vary some. If the decal was made to fit one in particular, it may not fit all exactly. Remember the tin was originally painted, not decaled. :beerchug:

Same thing happened to me on one of my side panel decals for my 1450. I put it on upside down. :bash2: When I called, Lady was really nice and sent me one for free and no shipping charge.

Two of the best bargains in Cubs: decals and wiring harnesses. I still can't believe both of these are as cheap as they are!

The people at Maple Hunter are great to deal with. I purchased a complete decal set for my 782D and found that it did not include a decal for the deck height gauge. When I e-mailed to inquire about it's availability since it was listed in kits for other model Cubs, I was sent a nice letter and a decal at no charge. In the letter they thanked me for pointing out that their kits for the 782D was short one piece. To me that's good service. No excuses, just a thank you and a promise to do even better in the future.

I'll throw in my two cents. Thus far I've ordered five sets from them. The last set was for my 782. I goobered up one hood side, and called them to order just the one.
The lady on the other end asked, what happened, and I told her, installer error. She giggled, and said we'll get you a replacement. I asked, do you have my address, she said yes, it'll go out this afternoon. I said how much? She said, and I quote, "nothing, we all make mistakes".
Right there, is how you take care of your customers. Wasn't there fault, but she still took care of it. A++ in my book.:beerchug:

Excellent customer service used to be the Norm here in the good ole USA.. too bad the age of internet sales and online buying has taken alot of that away. Often you cannot even talk to a real person.

I commend Maple Hunter on their service... I too have had really good service from them!!!:beerchug:

You admit your mistake, never sugar coat your story and they back you up like that? That's a "cream puff" business or as we French use to say "La crème de la crème!" One of the rarest kind in today's world! I take my hat off to them sir and keep them on my references list.

Here is my new decal that was sent to me from of charge, I hope to have time later in the week to get it installed and hopefully make a video on the process while I'm at it.

Curious as to how you are going to remove the old one??
Without screwing up the paint?

If the prep and paint work is done properly then there shouldn't be an issue, I will used a heat gun and some adhesive remover we have at the shop.

 Tim, I look forward to seeing this... I've tried to put on decals. I'm usually not very successful. :beerchug:

mjsoldcub 07-13-2017 12:10 AM

I had some issues with the chrome and black decals too...couldn't read the lettering on a tunnel cover decal, didn't know till I pulled cover off.....they sent me new one also no charge and luckily it was soon enough that it peeled off very carefully...I think they sent me a crooked cut IH decal too they replaced...good people they were at Edgerton thresheree last year....

I am NOT having good experiences with Maple Hunter Texas! In early June I ordered a decal set for my Cub Cadet 72. They came and look great! The latter part of June I ordered two additional headlight panel decals (72-125 models)for some other projects. I paid them and they sent me a super great set of...Allis Chalmers B-10 decals. I called them back and left message...no response...called again, left message no response...I emailed them...again no response. I called them again in early July and finally got to talk to someone and explained that I needed 2 decals (of which they had the order) and said they would send the decals I want and to keep the incorrect ones. Today is July 20 and I still do NOT have the decals. I have called several times and left messages...NO response. My messages are friendly and not nasty or impolite. All I want are my decals... I don't understand the poor communication on their end! :bigthink:

darkminion_17 07-20-2017 08:31 PM

You can send those AC decals over to the darkminion, he will ease your pain.:biggrin2:
