Ply of 1872 front tires?
Need to replace front tires on my 1872. Don't have blade, snowblower or loader, looking at V61 HD 5-Rib tires, is there any reason I need 6 ply over 4 ply? Where is every one getting them? $70 @ Miller tire about going rate?
Thx |
I think those tires are made for Miller like the 23* Firestones so I don't think they are available anywhere else. 4 ply will work fine.

Thanks Oak. Is there another similar tire that others are using?
Thanks |

Hmmm.... Tried it again & shipping was around $32 as you saw J-Mech. Strange.

Tim, those are 16x6.50-8 tires. He needs 18x8.50-8's. Too bad, as they are a good buy. |

Samckitt,
The v61 tires are really nice. I got them for my tractor, and I like the way they track, especially going across hills--turf tires would slid down the hill. I ordered them with tubes as I read the v61 tires are made with metric dimensions and the Cubs wheels are standard size. I read that without the tubes the tires could go flat easier. I didn't want to take any chances and put tubes in them. |
