Here's my new 1440. It was at the local scrap yard for $40 and against my better judgement I bought it. Take a good look people, this is what addiction looks like.:biggrin2:

Beats the chit out of needles & magic powder.:beerchug:

Sam Mac 04-11-2018 01:41 PM

Rear wheels and tires look to be worth more than $40.00

Dirty Steve 04-11-2018 01:43 PM

Oh hell, you'll have it mowing in no time!!! Seriously, there is more than $40 worth of parts on the carcass without the engine. No worries!:beerchug:

Do I look worried? When he said $40 I couldn't get my money out of my pocket fast enough.:biggrin2: I'm going to try to get the engine running to keep and the rest will be parted, as Sam pointed out I don't think I will have a problem getting $40 out of the rear tires.

Good deal. Hard to pass on that.

darkminion_17 04-11-2018 09:30 PM

Looks good from here Tim.

Terry C 04-11-2018 09:53 PM

Can’t beat that deal. Lots of potential sitting there!

Rescue11 04-11-2018 11:29 PM

Oh he'll Tim, I brought an 1864 back in that exact condition. Like you I was going to part it initially, but 2 tears later it's my main mower!

The guy running the forklift ask what I was going to do with it, I told him I'd have it mowing in a couple weeks. He looked at me like I had three heads.:biggrin2:

Makes me wonder sometimes how people have no vision. Or maybe we are all special. :biggrin2:

Thats the same thing my wife says when I bring strays home... :BB&YS:

jbrewer 04-12-2018 04:48 PM

Tim, you did well! There's a lot of good left in that one!

Being married has it's moments, but it's a very good thing. The "what are you going to DO with that thing" questions go away after a while. Once you reach 5 or 6 cubs, one more is hardly enen worth mentioning too! :beerchug:

The funny looks we get are because we're "repair-ers" in a throw-away world.

DieselDoctor 04-12-2018 09:02 PM

Looks good from where I sit. You done good! :beerchug:

Wanted to get this scrap heap in the shed so I can mess with it and I wasn't in the mood to push. The 1211 didn't even know it was back there.

sorner 04-18-2018 07:43 PM

The 1210 looks like the seat is pretty hard. :biggrin2:

It donated it's seat to the 1050 for plow day this weekend.
