My younger brother just sent me this picture of my Grandfather mowing and my brother Gary and I in the wagon. I have the hood up.

I'm going to guess 1966 or 1967

Round fender. 110? Or 112?
Cool pic Jeff!

Cool pic Jeff!

He had both. First a 110 and then a 112.

My brother Gary ( in the picture ) still has the wagon. He has Pop-Pop's last JD, a 1988 318

It got traded in on the next JD. I have no clue how many times it changed hands or where it is today.

A guy two roads from me has a nice round fender JD restored with a snow thrower on it. Just maybe it was my Grandfather's old one????? :bigthink:

I could only imagine back in the day before the interweb, things got sold and traded pretty local

We lived outside Harleysville, PA and the JD dealer my grandfather dealt with was I.G. Rosenberger in Silverdale PA ( maybe 10 miles from his farm )

I currently live about 12 or so miles north so it is possible that the guy near me has his old JD.

Your should make a good copy and enlarge it. Then frame it and at least hang it in your shop.

I can only imagine if somebody tried mowing with kids in a cart today. Theyd probably dispatch the swat team and youd end up with a felony and your kids in foster homes.

When my wife and I agreed to purchase this house ( just under an acre ) in 2003, I asked my co worker what size lawn and garden tractor he would suggest. I was ready to go over to the local John Deere dealer to get a tractor and snow blower.

Jim had just mechanically restored a 125 for his Dad but his Dad gave it back and got a lawn service to do his lawn.

I overpaid a little bit but got a 1968 125 with a cast iron end 42" mower deck, a 42" front blade, a QA-42 snow thrower, a set of chains and a Trac Vac that hung off the back.

Still have that 125 plus another 125.

Good thing for you folks I stumbled into Cub Cadets :beerchug: Otherwise I might be making parts for the really expensive green paint

At least we were behind the mower and were told in a very certain "tone" that nobody left the wagon unless the driver knew we were getting off and only after he came to a complete stop and the mower deck was shut off.
