May happen tomorrow
So, as many of you know I have been looking for an O. Few weeks ago I traded a deck and mule drive and got a 104. Meanwhile I had one of my 129's up for sale. I sold it with a plow and no deck for 600$. The gentleman that bought it said he needed a few days to pick it up as he needed to rent a trailer. I told him I could deliver it. He is local go me. He said he needed a trailer to haul off 2 craftsman tractors besides moving the 129. I 9f course said, no worries. I'll deliver the 129 and haul off the 2 craftsman machines. Long story short, I sold the 2 craftsman machines "wont mention price" to a guy. We got talking and turns out he has an O in his shed. He didn't want to go for a full restore on it but he wanted. Good running cub GT. I offered up the 104 even Steven. Well, tomorrow he is bringing his and we will do the deal.... hopefully. Last guy I tried something like this with didn't have an O. He had a 70. Hopeful this time the PO knows what he has. He says it's a roller but motor was out and rebuilt. If it's an O and he has the major components engine rebuilt or not I think I'll do the deal..... pics soon

Any idea on the serial or if it’s early coop? O’s are one of my favorite, good luck.

Good luck with your happening, or non happening.

Okay... Not an O :bash2::bash2:
However. I did the deal. And when you see the pictures maybe you will understand that I had to save this little guy from its PO'S... The madness had to be stopped. So, I traded. A running 104 with a deck and he got a plow out of me for this green turd.. It wont be green or a turd for long tho. There are no guarantees with this one.. Don't know if it runs, last time ran, little to no history known for sure.. But what the hell. It's mine now and it will be mine for a long time. I'm just a sucker for round fenders. Here the pics.. I will get the green off as soon as I can! Edit. Forgot to mention. GOt some goodies with it.. Brand new carb, VR and coil! |
Is it a 73? Those are my favorite of the 7hp tractors.

It's got the wrong hood on it. :BlahBlah:

I really like that style on turf tires. Are they nice enough to clean and reuse?

My pics are pretty crappy and the string mop paint job nit helping but I thin it is a 100 hood after second and third look |

How about a full frontal of the grill.
|
I like it Mister Cooper. Like I say it’s got character. Fenders, rear lift, not bad. Let the turd polishing begin sir. :biggrin2:

Ok. so I got it running. I think the guy was being honest in saying engine was rebuilt. This is also 2 tractors in a row that the PO had the condenser on wrong side of coil! I will get some more pics in a few.. |

The hood shouldn't stick out so far, should look more like this.

Picture is probably going to be upside down but yes my good man you are correct. Traded it a while ago for tiller, k241, other parts, and a numero uno cart. Edit: thank you Doug Attachment 95795 |

Here's another pic with hood with some loose bolts.. can we all agree it's the correct hood?
|

Looks correct now. You will know if it is the right one if the wear marks from leaving the hood open while the engine was running line up.
|
Not bad Coop, I've owned worse, lots worse. It's got good bones under a green paint job. Fix 'er up!
|
I like the looks of a 100. Well, yellow ones! :biggrin2:

Too bad it wasn't the "O" you were hoping for. This is the closest one to me. https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/gr...701358404.html |
I think you did okay Coop.:beerchug:
Try some lacquer thinner, maybe that other paint will come off. Could be a diamond in a goats ass.:biggrin2: |
