First Cub Cadet!!

Hi

I just picked up a 2014 GTX2154 with Kohler command pro 22.5 hp 260 hours.
It has power steering and power deck lift. Seems to work well looks in excellent condition. Is there anything I should be looking for with this model?

Also under different forums what forum with this model be under? MTD -gt ?

Nice. Should be a good mower.
Now go get an old IH cub and pull a lawn cart around. See which one you like better. :biggrin2:

Congrats! Those are great tractors. Will kill grass with the best of them.

MTD GTs is where you can go to talk about it. Yeah these aren't built quite as heavy as the old iron ones are, but they are a heckuva lot more comfortable to operate for what most people use them for.

Tough to beat foot control hydro and power steering for mowing or pushing/blowing snow. Not to mention the much better turning radius.

I’m very happy with my decision, not much is built like it used to be. I’m coming off a zero turn I’m very happy with the turning radius of this and the smooth ride. The only thing I miss is the straight line speed Of the zero turn.

Yeah, if you just want to mow a lot of grass, a zero turn or commercial standup are the only way to go.

That cub you have is still pretty nice and beefy. Definitely not a big box store model. It's probably after the peak of heavy duty cyclops/3000 series GTs though.
