Surgery

I'm having robotic incisional hernia surgery tomorrow Jan. 4. Prayers are welcomed. Surgeon said since it's robotic, it will only be a two week recovery compared to six weeks for open surgery. Thanks for any support!

Hey man! Wish you the best. Im sure you will get through with flying colors! Just think, after you recover, you can catch up on all your chores!

You must've been hauling too heavy a baggy sack of gifts while climbing down and up all those chimneys!:biggrin2:

You'll be fine! Good Luck!

We will be thinking about you!!! :bigthink:

I had both sides done,, the old fashioned way,,
BUT,,
they did send me home with a "pain pump"
It was a sphere, pressurized, and it metered in a small amount of pain meds,,

I had almost zero discomfort,,,

My wife was P.O.ed,,
she wanted to know why they did not give one of those to women after child birth,,etc,,,??

Men get all the good toys,,, :biggrin2:

Hope all is well, dazzle those nurses with a little Bullwinkle talk.

Ouch!

Thanks for the support. All went well. I watched a video of the procedure before the surgery. That Da Vinci Surgical System is fascinating. I have four holes in my abdomen where the machine was attached. He found multiple hernias and used a 17cm piece of mesh. A lot of pain, especially at first. To add to the discomfort, constipation makes things twice as frustrating. But, I'm healing. Thanks again!

Don't tell my surgeon!
Okay, I just pushed a little snow to get off the deck. I didn't over do it. It's only been 6 days since surgery. :Shhhh:

Hell, I didn't listen to my doctor after laparoscopic surgery last year. I was not to be lifting more than 20lbs for 6 weeks and no driving for two weeks. I drove the day after surgery and I lifted well more than 20lbs several times. :biggrin2:. I just did that nice and easy! All is well!

Glad to hear it went well for you!:beerchug:

Well, glad you didn't have any problems, but I'm not taking any chances. This is the third abdominal surgery I've had plus I had a total hip and total knee replacement on the same leg six weeks apart. I'm hoping to avoid surgery now! :Stop:
