Got to Shoot Some Paint over the Weekend!! (pics)
5 Attachment(s)
I finally got to paint the Cub Cadet 1450 (just the yellow) over the weekend. I am very happy with the way the paint laid down and how it turned out. I wanted to epoxy prime it and topcoat over that, but since I had already primed the chassis with rattle can primer I went ahead with it. I used the same primer on the fenders as well. Couldn't be happier with the IH Ironguard Enamel. Of course hardener was added. Now I've just got to find some Semi-Gloss Black enamel paint to mix up and shoot that and the IH White. Getting closer!!!

Gotta love fresh paint. Looks great!

Nice work, the yellow looks great!

Looks great! Did all the bugs come flying over to check out the new paint? That is what they do every time I bust out the spray gun.

I always love to see a QuietLine model saved. Looking good!

Looks real good to me.
 |
Looks like ya got a nice shine on it! Praying for you that the wind didn't pick up there :beerchug:

Very pretty!

That's some nice paint! I like it! Would not look bad on an old pick up truck either, !

Yes I think it laid down really good. Of course the bugs came to visit but I was able to take a razor blade and knock them off the next day without any issues. I did have 1 place I dug one out that I'll touch up with a brush later. The wind was calm so that was good.
Thank you all for the nice comments. I'm just a novice so I didn't expect it to be that good. Can't wait to paint the white and semi-gloss black. Not sure what I did to get those results with the yellow, but hope I can duplicate it for the rest........especially the white since it will be the sheetmetal! |
I think ya got it licked! The key to painting is patience and prep. I see no reason why your results will change with the other colors. Just take your time.. Really nice job:beerchug:
