Weekend haul (warning graphic images)
4 Attachment(s)
Well here is this weekend's trip I know they are not cubs but I couldn't pass for the price a 317 roller with deck, and a 200 runner. I'll probably keep the 200 because I like the smaller 8 horse. Anyhow pictures below view at your own risk:biggrin2:

Now that you mention it Lew I thought it looked like one but I'm not sure.

A variable drive like the one on the 200 comes in handy. Nice find.

If you can read the spec # on the engine still it may. How does it run?
That little cigar muffler I bet is not original. |
I started it to load it but it acts like it tries to flood. Someone put a tank under the hood with a quarter turn shutoff. I'm assuming maybe the fuel pump is bad for the tank under the seat, and this was someone's repair?? The muffler didn't look right and there was a hole in the side panel for it to exhaust. I never saw one to compare it to though? I'll get the spec # tomorrow I left it in the old she'd at the farm.

Yes, cheesedawg82 I have ran a 110 before and the variable speed is nice (when it works) and kind of a pain to get fixed, the one I tried on anyway.

Nice score! Nothing wrong with having a few green ones. They will make you appreciate your Cubs more. :biggrin2:

John Deere 200, Nice tractor. I believe only built 1 model year, 1974, the year I graduated from high school. After that they called it a 208. I traded for one about 30 years ago for some refrigeration repair on a walk in cooler. Would only run till warm and then die when I got it. PO thought the muffler was restricted, he punched about 2 dozen holes in the muffler with a chisel, didn't help. I removed the head and found a bent exhaust valve, that's when the restoration started. 1st garden tractor I ever restored and mowed grass with it for 15-20 years till I figured I better start using a push mower to get some cardio exercise. Still own the tractor, used for leaf mulch and sweeper duty in the fall. Nice find, somewhat rare tractor.
