Finally got my tiller for the 982. This thing is huge. I didn't try it out yet but I will this fall. Anybody else have one of these?

the beast

man i am jealous that thing his beast would love to have one for my 2084

I had one on my 1914 that was pretty similar to that before my dad sold it. They produce great results in previously tilled material. The only downfall to them is their size...on "virgin ground" they can push the tractor without even thinking about it and not dig in. Just have your hand on the lift lever while you are tilling and be ready to pull it up in case it catches something and starts pushing you. Obviously, don't let people stand in front of you.
It is a great machine. I am jelous. I hope to find one again for mine soon.
Just as a side note, if you want to impress the neighbhors, that much weight on the back of that machine will produce a nice wheelie! Have fun with it and post some pics when you get it digging!!!

Your 982 and tiller look great, Oak! Thanks for sharing your pics.

That thing is sweet Oak! Nice to see you finally got it home. Definately need some action shots of that. Think that is the first one of them I have seen - at least of that style. It certainly does look like it is heavy. bet it really makes the rear end squat when you lift it.

You will really like the tiller. They sure do come in handy. Like said make sure you are ready when you lower the tiller as they do push the tractor. I like to have my left hand on the hydralic lever, right hand on the hydro lever and right foot on the brakes. after you chew threw sod at first then it is easy going. Good beer drinking type of work.

The left foot, and a camel back.

Oh. And I want one of those tillers.

Iowa Farmboy 08-10-2010 09:16 PM

no you need one of those hard hats that hold a beer on each side with a straw.

Oak 08-10-2010 09:21 PM

Does anybody have a manual for this tiller? The model # is 193-356-100.

Iowa Farmboy 08-11-2010 10:31 AM

I think that I do let me check and get back with you tonight.

Iowa Farmboy 08-12-2010 09:02 PM

I do have one but can't figure out how to load pictures. I do know how to send pictures buy e-mail so I could do it that way and have some one post it up. If interested in doing this give me your e-mail and I'll send it.
