NC spring plow day
 

This has now been cancelled! Due to the wheat going to seed we're going to let Jim Moore harvest it when it's ready. It will not be ready until after the April 30th. This will allow Jim to get some money out of this crop and we all know that farmers need all the money they can get. We're hoping to host a plow day in the fall.

I just got off the phone with David Green and here's the details.

The event will be held in Albemarle NC. About 45 min due east of Charlotte. It will be held on April 30th. We will have a meeting at 9:00am then start plowing after that.

Jim Moore is the man who's land we will be on and he said it would be fine if you came the night before to camp. No hookups and "don't catch his woods on fire!"

We we're in his back yard last time. This time it's front yard time! The same address will work. We'll be about 1000 feet from where we was last fall. The same address will get you there.

I know it's short notice but Jim has some grain he wants to put in and he called us to get his field ready for him! Jim's got 11 acres for us to plow. Let's start the roll call and getting a head count and please spread the word.

David told me that there will be 6 from Dixie Turf Toys there for sure.

We had 14 at the fall plow day so I'm hoping that we can match that or hopefully beat that turn out!

Thats Dannys Birthday but im sure he will wanna plow rather than eat cake.

Vince, I would bring the 582. You just can't go wrong with an 82 series plus it's got that awesome seat.

Kevin, I don't think this one will be nearly as big as the Redneck pd. This guy called me while I was plowing down at Vinces and said y'all come asap. With such short notice, I think we might get around 15. Still, it's always a great time plowing with these guys!

I say both! I'd be happy with 15 tractors. We had 14 last fall so 15 with less then 2 weeks notice would be great! Then hopefully we can do a fall PD and have a little more time to plan it and get the word out and get around 20 would be some good growth.

I hope he can keep you in line better then Mary Lou can!:biggrin2: Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

I just got pics of the fields from David. Jim Moore has applied chicken poop:biggrin2: and they are ready to be turned. The fields look great! Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Well like most of my stuff, my plow has no paint so hopefull it will take off the rust. Ha just kidding because after the Redneck Pd, my plow has a mirror like finish. I'm ready!

Well Vinnie at least the C-crap will hopefully hold down the dust!!!
After the super plow days in SC, we will go head held high, to a chicken S***, plow day, but The IH & others can handle, adversity,(army days statment for all strang things) GOOD TRAINING TROOPS,GIT HER DONE!!!

No camping for me! I did enough of that when I was a employee of the army!

I was anti-tank TOW II gunner.:biggrin2: Being infantry I got lots of time to go camping. Even tho I was in a mechanized unit we still had to do forced marches and play foot soldier. I also got to drink lots of :beer2:. (I'm the one on the left side!):biggrin2:

We got over an inch of rain yesterday and more today. I wonder how much we can handle in the fields.

We didn't get .5 of an inch yesterday. I'm 25 miles from the plow site so I'm not sure exactly what those fields got. They are on a bit of a slope so that might help too. They are calling for rain for a couple days this week so I guess there could be a chance that field could get too wet. I'll just be in check with Mr. Moore and i can go down and check the fields later in the week.
