Only Cub Cadets - Which mower deck hanger assy on 1450?

My deck is 50 inches. I had noticed that the deck hanger assy that came with my 1450 had an issue with the drive belt rubbing the bottom of the flat plate that is several inches behind the adjustment pulleys. The pulleys weren't angled, so I purchased another hanger assy with the angled pulleys. The drive belt goes over the top of the plate on this hanger. When mounting the deck, I had a devil of a time getting the pins in the rear of the hanger, had to use a pry bar with a hammer for a pivot point and pry up to get the pins in on both sides. With the other hanger I didn't have this problem, just the problem with the belt rubbing. I haven't leveled the deck to this hanger assy yet. Just wondering if anyone knows which of these 2 assemblies is the correct one, belt over the plate or belt under the plate? I can change the pulleys out to have the angled pulleys which I know are the proper ones.
