982 Cub Cadet

I just bought a 982 Cub Cadet with a drive shaft rototiller, brinly plow, disc set, and 50" mower deck. Runs good What is it worth?

:Welcome2:

About as much gas as what it's going to take me to come pick it up!:biggrin2:

We need pics to help with pricing but keep in mind that prices are dependent on where you live and prices might be higher or lower based on location.

:Welcome2: and congrats on the 982. I've got the same setup, less the plow & discs. Definitely need some pics, number of hours, etc, but the real question is.... how much did you pay?

Oh, and does it have turning brakes and front ports?

another warm welcome!

I was offered a 582 with a rusted out deck and unknown running condition that had been sitting outside for 450 dollars. I passed without a second thought. That is the only '82 series I have seen for sale recently. I need to stop looking at cub ads.

I'm jealous... how'd you acquire it?:bigthink:

Neighbor bought the pole barn it was in and did not want the CC . The mower deck was seldom used as the owner just rototilled his garden. No it does not have steering brakes. People tell me it is a rare CC. I also have a 123 with a snowblade, 38"mower deck, and a rototiller.

I agree with everyone else, welcome aboard. We really need pics!! Those rear tillers for the supers are hard to find and pricey when you do. Sounds like you found yourself a nice 982. Congrats. :beerchug:

I just had reconstructive foot surgery after a complete knee replacement. I will be taking pics soon. I also heard that the tillers were hard to find and pricey. I gave $1300.00 for the package and everything works except the pto clutches. I will fix that problem as soon as the doctor allows me to put weight on the foot. I really like the 123 CC. It has been a great tool. I will be doing touchup restoring on it again as there is a CC 123 club in the area here.

probably just a crusty switch or blown fuse for the PTOs.

I have a feeling thinking about working on your new tractor will help you heal faster!

I know it will! I feel better all ready just thinking about it.
