In the garden today with the 123/tiller
3 Attachment(s)
I spent a lot of the day today in the garden. I pulled out the 123 and #1 tiller and planted 4 rows of green beans, then a row of turnips. Might get to do more tomorrow..... looks like the forecast storms skirted to the south of us, so maybe it'll still be dry in the garden tomorrow.

Great work on the garden looks nice!

now that is the way to do it, beats turning over a garden by hand any day.
I like that rainwater collection setup you have there, that is pretty slick. |
Thanks, guys. You'd be amazed how fast those barrels will fill up, just off the shed roof! I hope to get a couple of 275-gal. "totes" soon to catch water off of the house roof.

Very nice, the 123 & tiller look great. Garden worked up nice - got any plans for sweet corn in it as well? Your lucky you were able to be in your garden. If I stepped in my garden now I'd sink about 5 inches or more into the sloppy mud. SO MUCH water laying around here. If I drove the cub into the garden I might never see it again until July.

Oh man, am I jealous! It's been raining so much here in Buckeye Land, just can't get out to do much at all. Your 123 and tiller look great, too! I've not used my tiller yet, since I just got it in December, but can't wait to put it to work. You really have a nice size garden and the soil looks well-prepped. Do you plow it first or just use the tiller? Also, how do you transport the water from the rain barrels? :bouncy:

That does it, I will have a tiller next year, LOL :biggrin2:

Looks like great fun!
Looking forward to getting my 123 and #1 tiller in the garden for it's maiden run, one problem though, right now we're getting between 6"-10" of the white stuff:angry: |

Wife found out that corn products make her body HURT. Although I LOVE sweet corn (she does, too!!), I'll make it easy on her and not even plant any. Last year at this time, the garden spot was saturated from LOTS of rain. So far this year, we've had regular, frequent rains. None of those toad-stranglers!! |
