I Scored!
I just bought a 1A tiller off ebay for $250. Plus it comes with another tiller in pieces for parts. I'm excited. I guess it was mounted on a 1541 so it should bolt up to any of my 82's. Woo Hoo!

Nice score Aj!
Can't wait for the pictures!! |
is it local enough to pick up? I'd hate to have to foot the bill for shipping a tiller.

Nice find, AJ! :beerchug:

Well I got some pics of the new tiller. it was only a 35 minute drive to his house. It's a model #1 tiller with both extensions . I got the gear box and pulley shield for it too. It also came with a parts #1A tiller with both extensions and a extra set of tines. The 1A tiller is in pieces but I have most of it. He said something broke in the gearbox and while he was tearing it apart he realized the main shaft in the tiller was bent, so he tor it apart with the intentions of fixing it, but bought another tiller instead. The 1A will probably be put up for sale soon.
If anyone has a clue as to why part of the #1 is painted red, I'd like to know. I can't find any sign of white paint on the red areas. I talked to Ray Weaver and he said he had never seen any tiller parts painted red. |
Nice tiller, AJ!

Nice buy AJ!! What's with the hitch on the back of the tiller - what is that used for a set of drag harrows??? Never seen an add on like that before? VERY STRANGE seeing the red!!? :HeadScratch:
