Changing voltage regulator
I have a cub cadet 108. The voltage regulator went bad and I got a newer electronic style. The only problem is the terminal markings are different. The new one has I,a,s,f. I looked it up and I is for light, a is for battery+,f is for field, s is for stator. Has anyone hooked one of these up before? What wires go where?

How about posting the Brand Name and Model (or Part) Number of this new device.

I have a transpo f540, and a motorcraft gr540, which are the same regulator. They physically look different than stock style but i don't see why they wouldn't work. I realize I probably have to change the wiring a little but it should still work. I just need to know what wires go where.

The part you are referencing is designed for an "Alternator" while the original V/R is designed for a "Generator". Thus, this new part won't work on a Generator System.

Thanks. We've been trying to get it work for a while. Where's the cheapest place to get one that will work. Thanks

Give our sponsors up at the top of the page a call or email them. They might have a good used one or can set you up with a new one.

Since you reside in Hawaii, I have no idea what it costs for shipping.
Our sponsors would be more than willing to supply you with the correct V/R (IH-545130-R93). You could try these "aftermarket" V/R from NAPA |
