Hey guys, I just joined the site today after doing some scrounging through my property and finding that the "junk" tractor is actually a IH Cub Cadet model 122. I'll be posting pics in the next couple days, but I'm going to attempt to restore it. Hopefully, you guys will be able to point me in the right direction for parts and stuff. Basically, I found this tractor in my shed of the house I bought 3 years ago. I moved it into the yard under a tarp to make room for my equipment and only just got around to looking at it.

In the shed, there's a mower deck, snowblower attachment and blower attachment. It currently has a branch mulching attachment on it as well. It appears a bit rough, but hopefully it still has some life left in it!

I also found a Wheel Horse 502 in better condition that is still in the shed. This will be an interesting summer project for me!

Sounds like you've hit a litte gold mine.

Ironically, this house has been somewhat of a gold and silver mine. Our contract read "broom swept" but it was far from it. We also found gold and silver bars/coins in the house, silver certificates, gold and silver pocket watches and other assorted Americana. I'm only hoping that this tractor is up and running so I can stop pushing a 21" deck Toro. The deck on the one in the shed must be 48"+. I can REALLY use that! :bigthink:

After reading your story and seeing the pics it really is a gold mine! Sweet finds too! That shreader is fairly rare.

Welcome from Westchester County, NY. That's a pretty good bunch of Cub Cadet stuff that you ended up with there. All we ever found in our house when we moved in was empty booze bottles and vermin skeletons.
