Quiet line steering slop

Hi all! was wondering ,I know on and O model some of you have used bearings to replace the bushing at the top of the steering wheel. What about a Quiet line model 1200? It has a larger steering shaft than an O.Has anyone put a bearing in there or should I just get a new plastic bushing? Was wondering??:bigthink:

The front wheel bearing is the same size as the bearing on top of the steering shaft. I installed one in my 129 and 100 steering columns. BTW from what I have seen all CC steering columns are the same...

Would that be a 1inch inside dia bearing or a 3/4? They changed the front spindle size on the later quiet lines from a 3/4 to a 1inch.

A 3/4" ID bearing is what it takes. I just put one on my 128. Don't forget to do the Super Steering upgrade too.
