Implement Lift

I discovered this weekend that not all of the rockshafts are the same. I have a complete 3pt lift setup off of a 147 and had aspiratoins of putting it on my 1250 so that I could try to hook up a tiller. This is when I realized that it seems like it will not clear the top of the rearend when mounted in line with the bushings in the frame. I've done some looking and have seen some rockshafts that look a little more square that appear to be used on the wideframe tractors. Are my assumptions correct? I may try to make something to work for now. Has anyone had any success making one before? I don't have the funds to buy a new one and I'd really like to get a tiller operational here soon.

Your assumptions are right, the 147 is a narrow frame tractor and the 1250 is a wide frame. The 3 points differ from narrow to wide, am not sure you could modify it to work or not, may be easiest to post in the for sale or wanted section of this site and try to trade it for a wide frame hitch. As far as I can tell looking at listings, they are worth about the same money...perhaps you could find someone that needs yours and has the one you need on hand...just out shipping that way. Does cost a cent to put it on there, you'll never know unless you ask!

I think I may just try to make one for my 1250 for now. I want to keep the one I have because I plan to rebuild the motor in my 123 early this summer when I get done with school and will want to hook my other tiller up on it. Hopefully I can run across a good deal on the correct lift for the 1250 soon. I need to go see a neighbor who has come cub cadet stuff, he may have an extra.
