Hi, I from southeast NH and in the process of buying a my first ever cub cadet (107). Its got its share of problems. striped spark plug threads, frozen pto lever, rotted out snowblower attachment. but the previous owner swears it runs well and cuts the grass well. I honestly don't know anything about these tractors but knew I wanted one after seeing it. I am very automotive inclined so I should learn quick. I have already come up to speed on the basics from reading through this site.

Anyways I was wonder who else has a 107. And what makes a 107 better or worse then some of the other similar models. I understand the big differences, like hydro vs gear, and different size motors, but I am more wonder what the unique differences are.

punkid,

Welcome. Hmmm. the 107 is in the "73 series" (73,106,107,126,127,147). It was International Harvester's last line before going to the wide frame. So the body and frame combination give the series it's own look. That's all I got. Have fun with your tractor.

Welcome

As far as im concerned there all great!!!! I know thats not what your looking for !! I have two cub gear drives but nither are running,I love my 123,its a hydro, for tilling you can go real slow although you can get a creeper to slow a gear drive down!!!I like being able to move the lever for speed control,I can quickly go from reverse to forward or vise versa.Love the power and think I would love to mow with it.

Glad to have you here and looking forward to seeing som pictures of your cub.......so whats your next one going to be?!?!

Ok So I did buy the Tractor. I just have not been able to get it to my house yet. I Have a truck but something about trying to wrestle a 700lb non running tractor up some skinny ramps does not seam fun. I am waiting to here from my cousin so I can use his snowmobile trailer with tilt bed. I should get it sometime this week and at that time I will take some pictures. The tractor appears to have tail lights on the fenders, but no front head lights. Although there is aftermarket brackets for headlights up front. Did all these tractors come with headlights? I really like how they look with the two round headlights above the grill.
