mule drive mount clamp

what's the purpose of this skinny bar called the "mule drive mount clamp?"

jpianalto 05-30-2011 08:11 AM

Really?!? Does anyone know it's purpose?!?

How about a picture of what you are referring to. I am a bit confused what you are talking about.

posting a pic of the little bar right underneath the front of the tractor.

Here's one for sale even:

That is NOT a clamp. It is the "Quick Attach" or QA feature to install or remove implements quickly.

jpianalto 05-30-2011 05:13 PM

how the heck does it work? is it mainly for front attachments?

bsyphrit 05-30-2011 05:49 PM

after sliding on the muel drive or attachmen you pull it down or lift it and it locks it on so the atachment will not slip out

jpianalto 05-30-2011 05:57 PM

hmmmm... thanks but mine doesn't seem to budge... and the sides are pressed right up against the frame leaving only about a 1/4" gap between it and the front of the frame...

i'll play with it more as i start doing more restoration...
