I was bitten by the diesel garden tractor bug about 3 years ago and havent found a cure. I eventually want to own 2 gt's of each brand name. For example, I have my 882, and want a 782D or a Super Diesel to go with it. I have a JD 332 and want a JD 430 to pair up with it and so on...

I got on craigslist friday night and did my usual searches and about had a heart attack when I saw an ad for a Simplicity diesel tractor. I immediatly called and someone was already coming to buy it in the morning. I told him to keep me in mind in case something happened to first caller. VERY bummed out knowing that this gt only exists in my fairytales. They were only built for 3 years in the mid 80's so finding one is like finding hens teeth or frogs hair. Yesterday morning I get a call saying the first guy came and left. He didnt like it. It was too noisy and he didnt know much about diesel engines. I told the guy I have the cash ready and Im on my way.

Here is the scoop on this rare bird that Im so happy to say is finally mine!!:

Simplicity 7790. Twin cylinder Lombardini air cooled diesel engine. (Italian made). Hydro lift and tranny. All the lights work. It has a 48" deck underneath. Snow chains, snow blower, vaccum unit for a leaf vac, dump cart, tiller, and a sickle mower!! All have the manuals too. She runs great but has a bad fuel leak at the injection pump. Ive already researched and found out how to fix this apparently common problem.

Now for the pics:

David like I told you on the phone I'm happy for you buddy! Congrats on getting your rare bird! Your almost half way point for oyur smoker cub err club! Awesome pics and that tiller looks like it does a great job! When you going to try it out? Are you going to try and plow with it?

Iluvtruks0 05-30-2011 09:48 AM

This thing would look so cool with some ags. I dont have a plow behind it and I have no idea where to find one. Its got a funky hitch on the back. Ill be researching some more about the hitch/plow combo because I would love to plow with it. Thanks Duke!
