Hello from NJ Pine Barrens.

I finally joined OCC after lurking for a while. When I was growing up my father had a 149 with a mower, snow blade and a sleeve with plow and disk. I loved that tractor. I've since bought a house that came with a 2130 cc. I would love to get another older cc. Thanks in advance for all the future help and advice. Jim

Welcome to OCC Jim. I am sure we can help you towards your goal of an older cub :biggrin2:. Be careful tho as most in here seem to end up with more than one. LOL

my new 129

Well I finally found a cc that interested me. I went to look at a 1971 cc 129 one owner tractor and knew it was a good deal. It wasn't a running tractor because of no battery or fuel but looked great and had a good 44" deck. Being as the bank was closed I couldn't buy it right then, so we agreed on a price and I would return tomorrow. The following day I returned, the 129 had a new battery in it and a full tank of gas. The owner came out and says "sorry man I couldn't get it running. If you still want it give me a hundred dollars less.". Here I am thinking the worst, needing a motor. So I grabbed it, brought her home, unloaded her and started going over it. Well..... I looked at the fuel petcock.... It was off. Opened it up, cranked over o couple times and fired right up. Now I'm REALLY happy. Cuts great, no creep steering is a little sloppy but after all it is 40 years old. Best 2 bills I ever spent. I'm posting from my phone and I don't know how to post pictures from it, if someone can take picture messages and post them here, I would be glad to send em to you. PM if your willing to do that.
Thanks
Proud new IH 129 owner Jim.
