Box Blade ID: IH 40?
3 Attachment(s)
This blade looks remarkably similar to the IH #40, but unless they changed them over the production run, it may not be one. There is a wide, curved cutting surface on the back side, similar to the backfill attachment, but it's welded on.
I picked it up for $50 and by drilling just a handful of holes have adapted it to the 3-point on my 882. As you can see I was able to leave all the original fittings intact, and will be able to connect it to a 149 or the like. By the way, most of my 3 point had to be replaced with parts from Xtreme and I am completely impressed by the materials and workmanship. As far as the blade and Cub setup, it works like a dream. I've been backfilling about 200ft of sprinkler system trench and it sure has saved my back. :beerchug: |
That is a beefy looking blade. Excellent price you paid for it too.. :beerchug:

Thanks for moving the thread, dunno why I can't seem to remember that.
Yeah, it's working out great. It has just enough weight to be a perfect landscaping tool. :beerchug: |
Nice blade, you got an awesome deal on it!

It does look very similar but I would say that it is not a true IH. My #40 has bolt on blades and the sq tube is also bolted on. I would say it is a very well made copy. Still a great deal and a nice blade.

Yep, nothing is bolted on like the IH blades. Maybe it's an ancient Brinly copy. Anyway, sure works great. :beerchug:
