Is a Kohler head a Kohler Head?
 

Actually, I'm new here and I do have an engine question. Where would it go? This probably is a really simple thing, But is a J.D. Kohler 10h.p. head the same as a Cub Cadet 10h.p. Kohler head?

It would be the same. Usually what you run into with difference in regards to different brands is the base of the motor, "the oil pan", motor mounts and sometimes the crankshafts being cut for different style PTO's and other attachments.

There were about three different spark plug locations and different boss heights, so not really. If they are from the same year or so they might be the same.
