982 cub

hi all has anyone had luck on extending there batter box to larger on the 982IH darn these small batterys, lol. im kind of afraid to do any cutting.. also does anyone have any info on the fuel pump. i ordered fuel pump 149-1982, its got a 4 nipple compared to my 3 nipple. seems odd to have 2 inlets and 2 outlets, do i just block off the 2? carb kit was hard to find too, i ordered 149-1982, got all gaskets, got to look for the old stock kit for the walbro lu8 for my onan, appreciate any help thanks guys, john:BangPC:

There's no need for a larger battery...check and clean your ground connections and replace the ground cable if you can see corrosion coming out of the insulation. My tractors will start down to about 25 degrees with a 230CCA battery...

25 degrees, It gets a lot colder than that here, often well below zero, are cubs cold blooded?

Well my 1650 starts in minus 40C... So yes.
Fuel pump. Fixable. Simply put a short hose between the not used inlet and outlet. Problem solved.
