New CC guy in PA

Hi guys/gals

I'm Eric I live in South Central PA,Bedford County to be exact.And I'm a proud owner of a CC127.

I picked this little beauty up last spring.Got her running and used it.
Well after using it for a few months it started to go down hill.Started tapping and noticeable blow-by.As Vapor was poring out of the breather assembly.

So I knew it would need a bit of wrenching to get her back in operation.
I tore into her with high hopes of saving the block but it was to far gone. She was allready .030 over and the cylinder was scored up bad and it was egged out bad enough that the Rings were no longer making contact with the cylinder wall at the bottom of the stroke.

So I found a STD K301a block and had it bored .010 over and bought new piston, rings, rod, bearings and full gasket kit and put her back together.
Threw a bit of paint on the old girl and have been using it as my primary mowing machine for the last 6 months.

Here are a few Pics of when I got it home to as it sits today.

Sweet 127! I hope you saved your old engine you can have it resleeved to stard bore. Thanks for the pics! You did a great job on it!

Thanks.

I gave the old block to my uncle. He's going to have it re-sleeved.

He has 1 CC Original 1 CC70 2 CC100s 1 CC109 1 CC149 and a CC 1872.
He also has a few parts tractors.

I also have a CC70 and an old beat up CC 100 down at the farm that does the mowing and towing once or twice a month.I've had a couple old worn out cubs in the past but the 127 is a keeper.
My old 102 is the one I wish I would of kept. It's tranny, engine and drive shaft needed rebuilt.2nd gear was torn out of her the driveshaft was darn near cut in 1/2 (locked up bearing) and she smoked very badly.

I gave it to a friend of the family for a good days work on the farm.He has it all fixed up and mows his yard and pushes the white stuff in the winter with it.

Nice work Eric, but I'm going to have to deduct a point for the overspray on the tires. :)
