Belt for 38 deck

Well my 1650 belt gave out so I've got to track down a new one in the morning. I think I got the correct part number but lets see if I'm right.:biggrin2:

Tractor 1650
Deck 381U1116
Belt needed IH-490489-R2

Thank you for your help!

Duke, I am getting this number from cubcadet.com: IH-478881-R3

Our belt chart page here shows something completely different:
38", 42" IH-473462-R4 -3/8 X 81" This shows on cub cadet also as correct: BELT, MULE DRIVE | FOR TRACTOR W/SERIAL NO. 530,000 AND ABOVE (EXCEPT 1100 TRACTOR)

Your belt shows on cubcadet.com as being the mule drive belt for a 38" and 42" deck too, but doesn't mention the tractor model.

I am confused myself.. LOL

You can try to get a new belt at Napa or TSC. If you the lenth of the belt i think it is 77in? The ones at TSC are great there stronger than OEM belt. I would get the belt with Kevlar in it.

Thanks guys! The belt chart was throwing me for a loop last night so I thought I'd ask and make sure. I called my local deal that's not a dealer any more adn he has one in stock. I be getting it so I can cut some grass today and make my wife happy! Never hurts to get some seat time in and mowing a acre lot with a 38" belt should get me some good seat time!:beerchug:

Enjoy the seat time. If your weather there is like it is here, a hi of 83 your going to enjoy it. Is nice out today.

You know how it is, Duke. If mama's not happy, nobody is happy! :biggrin2:

Just went through this and my 38" uses the r4 belt as mentioned.

Awesome! I went and picked up my belt and will install it and get some seat time in! Another week and I'd have to have Gary come down with the 73 and the haban to take care of the yard!

Duke, you want me to bring the lawn sweeper, after you finish mowing? :biggrin2:
