Road trip and new toys.

Made a nice Rd. trip yesterday to Western NY to deliver a 71 cub and pick up my new IH wind breaker cab from Jeff "TEET" Teeter. Got Jeff's frame on his O welded up while I was there. On the way I stopped in Canadaguia NY and met our youngest forum member Donovan M. He is a super nice young man and his dad is really nice also. I gave him a hydro unit to repair one of his tractors. Wish I would have more time to spend chatting with you guys. The smile on his face was priceless when I gave him the pump. Here is a couple pics on my new IH wind breaker cab.

Cant wait to see her mounted up Kelly! Thanks again for the awesome weld job on the "O"...had her bolted together and on her maiden voyage last night :)
When this rain lets up, I'll try to get the 71 out for some pics...I'm super happy with it! I also had a fantastic chat with Allen Cecil last night on the phone...we talked cubs for a couple hours! Great bunch of guys here, hands down...I'm grateful to have made such good friends! Jeff (teet) |
Nice cab, Kelly! Which cub will you put it on? :beerchug:
It was a pleasure chatting with you, Jeff! We'll definitely have to do it again! |
Allen the cab will end up on the 1641 with the 451 blower on it. My head has turned into a sno-cone to many times from the wind shifting and blowing back at me. lol
Jeff glad you are pleased with the 71. Other than the couple small issues I discussed with you yesterday it is a solid little tractor. Donovan M was wondering if the pump got your tractor running. It was a pleasure meeting you and your Dad. |
Here are a couple pics of the 71...it cleared up enough to get a few shots of it today. Kelly swapped in a rebuilt, sweet running K301...and it purrrrs like a kitten! Allen has me wanting to add some duals to the back (thanks buddy!!) ...now if I can only find a matching set of Carlisle 6x12 super lugs I'll be all set :)
Great talking to you too Allen, we definitely need to do it again sometime :biggrin2: Jeff (teet) http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o...6/102_1161.jpg http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o...6/102_1162.jpg http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o...6/102_1163.jpg http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o...6/102_1164.jpg |
Great looking cab, Kelly and sweet looking 71, Jeff!!! However, I had to laugh when i saw that cab on the back of the truck because I remember hauling mine that way for 2 hrs. on a dark rainy night.....except mine was a soft cab, so I threw a tarp to prevent it from flapping in wind and tearing. Well, that was the plan anyway, but the tarp came loose despite my best efforts to tie it down and began dragging behind me for several miles......I wonder why the truckers kept honking, flashing their lights, and keeping a safe distance from me on the interstate?:bigthink::biggrin2:
It's great to see fellow cub enthusiast helping each other out!!! Cub Cadet 123 |
That's a great story with some great people from the best Cub site around... That's what it's all about. :beerchug:
