Is there such a thing as a BB42 snow thrower?
Went to look at a snowthrower today and from search online it looks like a BB36 but measures 42 it came off a 582 how good are they and will it fit my 1914

It sounds like it's a QA-42 model - it may be adjustable. The BB-36 was a bolt on; it did not have a quick attach.
Pictures always help - if I don't ask, someone will :beerchug:. Nate |
i'm kicking myself for not getting any pics but it has the cable for the chute rotate and a quick connect that is not adjustable

Several things are not adding up here...there is no BB42, the nearest thing to that would be a CC42, which would not fit a 582 anyway. A picture is worth a thousand words here, but at any rate, it doesn't matter because it's not going to fit your 1914 anyway. You need a 450 or 364 (or H48).

Ok after searching more, I think it's a Haban H-42. Anyone have info on these? Thanks for the quick replies

Most of the parts are NLA, and it's too small for your 1914. In my previous post, I told you which models will work.
|
but would it mount on my tractor as snow blowers around here are few and far between
|
I suppose one could make a Haban H-42 fit with the right amount of fabrication. The H-42 was designed for 482-782 Series of GT Cubs. The H-48 was designed for the SGT 982, 19xx Series of supers.

thanks for all the info am gonna pass on the snow thrower and keep looking for the right one

I really have to question why the Haban 42 wouldn't work. As a 582 and a Super are both wide frames. The only problem that I might see is not being able to lower it to the ground all the way. 42 inches will cover the tires track on a super it won't give you much room but is possible.
