CC HDS 3186
 

Have the opportunity to purchase a CC HDS3186 with 950 mowing hours. Asking $1500.00 I am new to the forum and to quality garden tractors. Frankly, I am surprised to find little mention of the 3186. I know it is not a collectors item. However, what major maintenance items should I look for? I read about a failed drive shaft pin, some risk of sheared splines at the transmission/shaft input and about loose PTO tensioners. Is the Kohler bullet proof? We (83 year old Dad) plan to use the unit to mow 5 - 10 acres bi-weekly. Any others concerns come to mind?
