QA42 snow thrower questions

Hi i am trying to get ready for winter earlier than later And i need to know what size is the oem lift rod for this blower is on a NF 147. I am not really down for trying to make one right now and i have found a site that offers different lengths.

32" length
30" length
28" length

So what would be the correct length.

Try setting the front tractor tires on a 2x4 and the blower on the floor. Lower the lift rock shaft all the way down and measure from hole to hole. See what length you get.

Thanks for the help, I am assuming when i measure i need to have the lift arm in the 100% down position.

yes exactly.. This will allow for some extra movement up and down when you are snow blowing.

Well out of a stroke of luck(i feel as if i was set up). Me and my mother in law were cleaning the barn and she found the lift rod stuffed under some boxes.

No It's 32" long and according to my mother in law it is the rod that came with the tractor when they bought it from the original owner.
