Snow Blower
I found a snow-blower on Craigslist today. It's a model QA-42, will this fit my 782? What should look for as far as problem areas? Thanks for the advice.

I may be wrong but I believe the QA42 is for narrow framed tractors. The 782 is a wide frame.

papaglide is right...QA42 is for narrowframes only...you need a QA42A.

Snow-Blower
I called the guy about the snow-blower and he says he had it mounted on his 1810. I asked him to measure the frame mount and he says it measures
13 1/4", I measured my 782 and it is approx. 13" wide frame, so it sounds like it will fit, what do you think? Is $150.00 a fair price? |
I guess he maybe doesn't know what he has. If he had it on an 1810 and it was working, it'll fit the 782. I have never paid more than $60 for a snowthrower, but none of mine have ever been ready to use. I personally wouldn't pay that, but I have more time to fix things than money to buy things that don't need any work.

Glad to see someone on here from the area, I grew up in Newfane/Lockport area, small world. Living back in Lockport now, the snow is a comin!!

It will have to have curved upper links, or you will not be able to raise it properly. These are fairley easy to have made. The straight ones will hit the bottom of the nose ( grill ) casting. I think there was a clearence issue with the lift rod also ,but can't remember for sure. I do believe it was a simple fix thou
