1782 was spewing oil bad at the auction out of the dipstick hole...

I bought it for $600 non running. They wouldn't hold the key to the left to let the glowplugs warm up..not like I didn't tell them a couple of times.
Ended up having the rubber stop break loose from the 'stopper' for the hole and then be inserted past where the stopper was in the hole. I compared it with my 2182 gas dipstick and my Kubota g5200 dipstick and is was a longer handled dipstick but the same length where this one was supposed to be, so I put in the one from the kubota and spent a half hour putting it through its paces around the yard with no more oil leaking. If yours is leaking, check out the seal. Now I just have to find another dipstick. In case you were wondering, the oil level was right..and here I thought it was way overfull when I checked at the auction. |
