pros/cons 12 inch plow versus a 10 inch plow
2 Attachment(s)
just like the title says....
running on a 149 with ags.. i picked up a pretty nice plow at the tractor show in NC this weekend... im pretty sure it measured as a 10 inch but man it looks big! is the 149 powerful enough to pull a 12 inch ? if any one was wondering I picked the plow up for $80 bucks. seemed pretty fair.. |
Nice find on the plow....that's a great price!! :beerchug:
Looks like a 12" to me, by the shape of the moldboard......does it have a brace on the back from the land slide to the moldboard? And your 149 should have no problem pulling a 12".....with enough traction. |

This may help....

yes thats how i measured it and it is a ten inch, and yes it had a land slide brace on the rear. it seems all it is missing is the coulter (sp?) is that required?

My bad....... :biggrin2:
The reason I say the moldboard looks like a 12" is because my 12" moldboard has a kind of square edge like yours (circled in red)...and the two 10" plows I've had are more rounded. :bigthink: :biggrin2: |
