Lift Block for NF
http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...14016155_n.jpg
This is an original that I would be using as a pattern. I have been looking around and have noticed that they are not making them anymore. I have also seen that they are going for a bit used on ebay. I was wondering if any one would be interested in them if I could make some new reproductions? I don't want to take the time to design and build them if no one is interested in them thou. If I do make some I would not sell them until I have tested them on my own Cub Cadets 100/104. |
What is it??
:WWP: I might need one and not even know it!! |
Thats the rockshaft for the sleeve hitch on the narrow frame tractors. Any idea on cost for them if you make them? I have a narrow frame 123 hydro and would love to put the sleeve hitch on it, just hard to find a good setup used for a fair price, and they don't make them new that i'm aware of.

I think the "purists" want the factory stuff and will pay for it so their restoration is "correct".
I fabricated mine from tubing and bar, I think it is stronger than the CI factory version. Attachment 18023 Mine is a user machine, function before beauty. |
Nice job CADplans.
Your hitch looks as good as it functions. I am a great fan of well made fabrications where parts are too costly or no longer available. (i.e. I wasn't going to pay $40+shipping for a spring assist bracket when I can make it for less than $2) Do you plan to post a drawing of you contraption? Regards, Guido |
I'm no purist LOL my IH does work. I bastardize what I have too to make things work :biggrin2:

Mines a WF 108 but Id be interested in a complete kit if you were to make them

The design is so simple, once you go to the shop and start fabing, it just goes together!! Give it a try!! |
CADplans,
You and me both. It's the curse of the machinist. Upon closser look, your design won't fit my narrow frame 127. But your hitch confirms my thoughts that it can be done. Guido |
