Pulley Problem

Does anyone have a procedure for straightening a bent pulley? I have a NF hydraulic lift pulley that has a wobble in it. Thanks, Greg

Stamped steel?? just bend it!! I saw a guy just grab a power steering pulley on a Chevy S10 and bend it correct.

It might help to invite your big guy friend over.

You can spend a ton of hours trying to true up a bent pulley and you will probably never get it right. BTDT.

Being a HVAC/R Tech, I have found it is just easier and less costly to just replace the pulley.

I would check the hub area real close to make sure its not cracked. If you do bend it back double check it again. Im not sure how easy they bend or not but be careful of the pump shaft too if you are prying. Not sure how sturdy they are but it would suck to break that off, lol. Ive never looked at that area of a NF pump close enough to say how strong it is so maybe it is beefy. Im just saying.
