Head gasket

Is the head gasket on an original the same as the rest of the 7 hp cubs?

Yes it is. Stick with Kohler parts, their gaskets are made much better then other cheaper versions!

Yeah I`m staying with kohler but my dealer couldn`t look up an original because it didn`t have a model number so I wanted to make sure before i ordered a gasket for a 70.

Model number is cub cadet.
