Leftovers, again
 

Well it seems like my Dad was right. When you don't have the money, you have to use your leftovers. What are leftovers? That's any and all the scrap material you have left from all of your previous projects that have accumulated in the back of your shed. so I've had this plow for my original sitting in the shed, along with all the scraps ever since the 80's. My Dad had this rigged up with a cable, that wound up running off the top of the cast iron grill frame. needless to say that lasted one winter and then the cast iron cracked. The plow and it's frame weigh right around 60#. The hook-up now to the tractor has been altered by using an old sub frame I picked up at a garage sale for $5. The guy said it came off a wide frame Cub. That got me going. It didn't fit my 109, so I decided to "make it fit" the original. One thing led to another and I was building a frame for this home made plow. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not any kind of welder, and designing would be next. but when you work with scraps, I don't think it matters. So when you look at the pictures, please keep that in mind. anything not painted are the scraps. not that I'm going to mass produce these any time soon, but I think I can answer your questions easier than explaining the manufacture process. Other than one kink, it works. What's for dinner?

From a pragmatists point of view....it works and should make for some great service! For $5, it will plow snow and possibly make you a little $$ when the white stuff flies.

I'll take leftovers anytime! Looks great. Wish stuff like that would show up every now and then here in NC. To continue the food metaphor, the cupboard is bare down here these days.

I like leftovers, there always good for something. You wouldn't happen to have a cub original mower deck spindle, mower deck cog pulley, and a hood ornament in the left over pile?

That's actually kind of cool! Being able to make stuff work is a good thing! Especially when you didn't really hurt the cub cadet or it can be reversed. :beerchug:

fonz3482, i don't have any spare tractor parts for the original, but i do have some larger parts from a wide frame.
the coffee is thick this morning, maybe i'll try to push some dirt around before it starts to rain. i think i have enough scrap leftover to make a frame for a leaf vac.:coffee:
