Foot Rests

Im slowly documenting the correct way in which to repaint my cub after it is completely disassembled. Im trying to properly document where overspray and such exist so that I can accurately repaint my tractor as it may have been originally.
First off, I really appreciate the detailed pictures that fellow memebers have posted in regards to the ways in which they have restored their cubs, this website is full of very knowledgeable individuals and I look forward to exchanging ideas with anyone is willing to help.
My question, in regards to this post, revolves around foot rests. I have noticed that some 1963 cubs have black foot rest and others have white. Mine appear to be original to my specific cub but may have been replaced or installed prior to all of the rust making itself at home.
My question is..Does anyone have any idea into what color 1963 Original foot rest were from the factory? White or Black?

The Orginal, 70, 71, 72, 73 and 100 had black foot rests.

Best thing you can do is buy yourself a book that was written about Cub Cadets. Two good ones are Oscar H. Will's Cub Cadet: The First 45 Years and Kenneth Updike's Orginal Farmall Cub and Cub Cadet.
