New Deck

I have a never used 44" bare deck for a wide frame cub that I will never use and was thinking of selling it in the spring. It came with my 149 but I have never used the mower to cut grass plus the deck that came with the mower is in fair cond and could be used the way it is. Just wondering what I should ask?

Did you mean "spare" deck?

It depends on the model and the condition, but generally a used deck will go for $50 - $200.

Got so pics so we can help you with pricing? List it right beofe the grass starts to grow. That will be peak selling time.:beerchug:

Heck. They're not worth very much. You'll have a hard time getting rid of it. If it's just cluttering up your garage I'll take it off your hands. I'll even pay for shipping.:biggrin2:

Seriously, I've seen well-used 44C decks with asking prices in the $350 range, but I have seen several actually sell in the $150 range in used but good condition. But then I'm in Virginia, where Cubs aren't quite as common as in the midwest. I think I would start in the $350-400 range for a new, unused 4C deck. You can always lower the price. Kinda tough to raise it after you start advertising.

Reminds me of an old carpenter I knew once. He walked past me with a piece of 2X4 mumbling under his breath, "Cut the damn thing twice and it's still too short!":bash2:
