42" Deck Belt

I have a 1250, I believe it is a 42" deck, don't know for sure because I can't read the numbers. The deck belt is shreaded and I can't seem to locate the proper size. Two questions:

1) Can I use a kevlar fan belt if I find the right size or do I need something else?
2) What size belt do I need?

Thanks

Can't really tell you what size belt to get until we know what kind of deck you have. Can you get us a pic of the deck? It should really be a 44" deck.

That would be a 44" deck the best I can tell. Align both outter blades {-- -- --} and measure from tip of one to tip of the other and you will get the cut width. I don't think it is a 50".

Belt for the blades: 44" 954-3004-1/2 X 77 1/2"

You will need to know the size of the drive pulley to get the correct size below:

PTO Belt: 44",50" W/4.5" PULLEY IH-59971-C1
3/8 X 78"

44", 50" W/5.0" PULLEY IH-117465-C1
3/8 X 79"

Thanks
TS has either 77x1/2 or 78x1/2. Will this work or do I need the actual cub belt?

If it is the belt for just the blades that will probably be fine. But when replacing the PTO belt, it is suggested to get the Cub belt as it is designed for the twisting forces of the mule drive and will last much longer than others.
