Cadet mower deck thickness

I am trying to find what guage of metal to get to repair a mower deck that has a couple of holes. I tried to measure the thickness and came up with about .130 which somewhat equates to 10 guage. Am I correct in this sort of uneducated guess. The deck is off a cadet 102 it is a 42 inch mower.

do not know about gauge but i just redid my 48 inch deck and i used any thing between 3/32 and 1/8 inch and it worked fine.

Thanks I just checked and .130 is 1/8 inch and is also just about 10 guage.

Paul,
You should be fine with that I am going to use some .10 inch thick material, if I ever get around to working on the deck for the 147R.
Regards,
Chris

1/8" is 0.125"

The frame is only 0.100" thick, 11 gauge, that or thicker should be fine.

Many thanks as I have discovered, some people go by guage and others go by a thickness measurement but had some difficulty in relating one to the other. Thanks again.
