OCC is a bad influence...

I have been a member here for a few short months and have been informed that this website is a bad influence by my wife. You see, it all started with moving to a new house that has a 900' driveway and my Toro snowblower was not going to get the job done in a reasonable amount of time. So I searched Craigslist and stumbled on an Original Cub Cadet with a POS snowplow (homemade). This website has shown me that there are good quality parts out there, reasonably priced and still available with a little patience. So the search was on for a snow thrower (BB36) which was found 50 miles away for a song! I then realized that it is best to have a creeper for the thrower to work well (still looking!). Next was to replace the snow blade (spring-trip) (since a creeper was needed for the thrower to work well) which was found about 150 miles away and the guy met me half way for delivery New Years weekend. Now I am trying to talk her into having 2 or 3 machines for different duties (and at least one of them having the aforementioned creeper)...Oh the price one pays to be married and have hobbies! ;)

I learned that once I get them home I let my son claim them! And when she brings up about wanting me to sell them all I do is tell her it's her job to tell him that he has to sell his tractor.:biggrin2: Works every time!:beerchug:

Another trick I use is "it's for Todd not for me I'm just helping him get it running. He'll be up from GA to pick it up some time!" Works like a charm!

My angle on the discussion is that I do not want to have multiple implements laying around and have to take the time to take this one off and put that one on...it seems to be working; time will tell!

I have started telling my wife that Duke said I needed a particular item to make work easier. She is starting to reconsider his importance in my life. :biggrin2:
