Cub hunt
 

I just got some info from a guy who says he has a few old cubs down the road a piece from where i work, going at lunchtime today to see what he has keeping my fingers crossed its somthing good

I run into Cubs here and there in varing conditions. Problem is many times the owners want the price of a good condition machine or just wont sell at all. I think they are hoarders or think any old Cub is worth a fortune?

Im afraid hes going to want alot of money for them if there what i want, just have to hope for the best and use my best poker face lol. The guy said he has over 100 tractors of various types and conditions

Just got back, Hes got a 108 and a 129. The 108 runs and has a nice deck and headlights but its been sitting outside for a while so the cables and lift button are stuck. The 129 was garage kept and it shows but has also been outside too long so the hydro lever is stuck as well as the cables and lift lever button it has a really nice deck too but he said he hasnt had it running looks like a replacment engine its black insted of yellow. I offered hin $150 for the pair and he said he had to see what he paid for them and he would call me tues, i think he may think they are worth more than they are. They are reparable now but if they sit for too much longer who knows. ill keep you all posted

They should weigh about 7-800 pounds each, @$.11 per pound for scrap, you did not even offer scrap price.

He might cut them up for scrap before you get back!! :bigthink:

lol theres no chance of him scrapping them it doesnt look like hes thrown anything away for years there were hundreds of lawn tractors pushmowers engines decks dirt bikes four wheelers and just random junk everywhere
