Governor installation help

Not sure if I'm posting this in the right forum but here goes.
Need some help installing my governor on my K321 14 HP. Just got my engine back from the machine shop this week and started putting it together last night and ran into a snag right off the bat. I have a manual I downloaded from the Kohler site. The first step for reassembly is install the rear bearing: done no problem. Second is to install cross shaft, bushing nut and governor gear: got that no problem. Then the snag, the next step is to install the copper washer and stop pin. I searched for an hour and have no stop pin, then after reviewing the pictures I had taking during disassembly I found that a bolt was in the place of the stop pin. Sooooo, my question is.....is the bolt alright or do I need to try to find a stop pin some place.:Help:

You absolutely need to get the correct pin and washer...Any Kohler dealer can get them for you.

Thanks Matt, I thought that's where I was heading. I just got off the phone with the local dealer and he has to order the pin and washer, will be about ten days before he can get it in. Do you think I could safely use a bolt temporally so I can proceed with the reassembly until I get the new part?

I suppose you could, but just don't run the engine.
