Brinly adapter info needed.
 

I have a 124 with the 3 point. I have been trying to pick up a brinly adapter on ebay, but so far have not scored one. Craigslist here in our area is pretty slim pickins for the old 124.

My end goal is to pick up the adapter or make one myself. I can fabricate it, if I have the correct dimensions.

Does anyone have drawings on them, or detailed measurements?

I have the yellow section already, but need the measurements for the rest of it.

Part of a long wish list for my 124 is a Brinly plow, cultivator, and a disc setup. I would also love to have a blade for it, but most are snow blades for sale a LONG way from Texas hehehehe.

I am having a ball with this thing. Sure glad to have found a forum for them. I am on many board, but mostly for my Mopars. Happened by this one from a google search.

You can buy a brinly sleeve hitch adapter from one of the cub cadet parts sites for around $100. I don't remember which one but that's what I plan on doing for my 169 next month.

Just did a couple of searches and found a setup cheaper than the used one on E-Bay!

Never thought anyone would have these things new, been searching in all the wrong places hehehehe.

The old girl is rough, but came with a ton of parts. Even came with a deck, that I will probably never use. I have a mower, but needed a garden tractor, and this thing is perfect.

Glad you found one. Isn't it crazy what these parts go for on epay? I would love a hydraulic lift for my 105, but.... the last one I saw went for $250, yikes....:bigeyes: Too much coin for me.

If you are talking about the one that ended yesterday evening, that was my fault. Been trying to get one for a long time now, and spent my tire money to make sure I got it. Just sold off a bunch of car parts to get up some cash for a hitch, lift, plow, and tires. Blew most of it on that lift.

Wow, good for you. :beerchug: Someday I will get one. I am just not in the position to do so right now. I think that is crazy still ($250), but that is the world of IH Cubs. Post some pics when you get it all installed. :)

You should price some parts for a Mopar Muscle Car sometimes!

This CC is what I use for pulling around dead cars, moving car trailers, and pulling my Tiller.

I live in the burbs now but still own part of the family farm. The CC is perfect for working here around the house. All of the other tractors are 5 hours away, and way too big for me to use here at the house hehehe.

The only problem is how hard it back fires about 10 seconds after I shut it off. That is how we named it. This thing blows like the car in the movie Uncle Buck. So the kids named my cub Buck. It stuck, and the whole neighborhood knows when I am running Buck hehehe.

I restore muscle cars as a hobby and do all of my own painting and body work. I plan on painting it this winter once I wring out a few more bugs.

The steering needs lots of work. Lots of worn out linkage to repair. Once that is done, and the hydro is attached, it will get a nice new coat of paint.

The backfire is a hoot. Sometimes it has a long delay. My neighbor was trimming his tree the first day I brought it home and when it backfired he almost fell off his ladder! We got a good laugh out of that one.

I think I saw a squirrel have a stroke after one of the famous (in our neighborhood) backfires.

My wife swears someone is going to call the cops thinking I am shooting a gun in the back yard hehehehehe. It is that loud. And only after it has been running a while and then I turn it off.

I know it is the raw fuel combined with a hot muffler, and cool air back feeding into the pipe that causes it. Now that I am used to it, I kinda enjoy it. The kids love it!

I also have a small snapper rider and that darn thing shares a shed with the Cub. Don't you know it has started back firing too! Not nearly as loud though hehehe.

Aahhhhhhh Life in the Burbs hehehe.
