Quick Tire Pic Needed

Does someone have a picture of a SGT (preferably 982 or 982-style sheet metal tractor) with Deestone 26x12's mounted on it? I want the Carlisles for the look but for the difference in price am considering a good set of Deestones. I just want to make sure they are tall enough and look suitable to my liking. I'm probably breaking down and finally ordering a good set tonight or tomorrow. The 982 is the only tractor I have without ags.

Kevin, I called Miller a few weeks ago and they have Firestone Floatation 23's in that size for $110 each IIRC. She said that they were made for Miller and there was a problem with them and you must use a tube. I put the 23's on my 882 and I like them.

Deestone 6 ply I found on CL for 100.00 talked down to 80.00 because of the height issues but once there aired up they are maybe 3/16" short of 23"
going to put them on the 582. and the 10.5's from it on the 125 I just got.

So are you saying the 26x12 Deestones are 3/16" short of 23" or the 23x10.50's were 3/16" short of 23"? 23" won't be tall enough for me on the 982 if they're that short.

what I have are the Deestones 23 8 12's to go on my plow tractor.

and the 582 has Carlisles 23 10.5 12 on it now. Ill take off to put on the tilling tractor.

once I get them mounted I'll get side by side pics of the height of the 2 types.

im saying the Deestones 26" might be 3/16" short of 26"s

I'm not sure what deestones you are looking at, but this set would look real nice on a 982, they are a lot like my goodyears on my 982. I kinda like this style over a super lug.

$180 a set seems real reasonable too, can't guarantee they are as tall, but my goodyears arent as tall as the OEM turfs either. By the way, the deestones are a very nice tire for the money.

Thanks for the quick replies!!! I'm pulling the trigger and ordering them now. I was just worried they'd be way short looking and wanted to confirm but that little bit won't bother me. They aren't the wide beefy Carlisle look but they'll suit me for the money.

Yes, those tires from Tucker's are about what I'm getting, but I'm ordering 8-ply ones from GCT for $212 shipped. I can't find a used set and drive to pick them up for that. I'll get a pic when they're here and mounted.

Sounds like a great price! Can't wait to see them one your 982. After drooling over how DX3's 982 looks with that style I had to have a set, lol. Now I need some V61s.

miller tire has the true powers for $110.00 ea. & the rims (12x10.50)are $45.00 ea. & centers are $18.00 ea..those tire your talking about measur 23x12x12 even thow they say 26x12x12 & are the wrong size for the 982 & will mess with the gearing on it :bigthink:
